New to The Meltdown?

Tickets3Welcome to our family! We have been doing The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail since October of 2010 in this space, the amazing Meltdown Comics, and we are happy that you want to join in the fun. Here’s some stuff you need to know.

We do a show almost every single Wednesday, unless it is a major holiday. However, tickets do not go on sale for each show until the Wednesday before. So if you don’t see tickets on sale for a show months down the line, that is why. Tickets are sold here.

The show starts at 8:30pm. We do not start late. Again, you can get tickets in advance here, but they sell out quick. We will have limited tickets available at the door on the day of the show, and we recommend arriving at 7pm to purchase them.

Our show is in the back of a comic book store. Since we are not a comedy club, we do not have the following: official parking, a two-item minimum, alcohol, or tons of seating. Be aware that if you arrive close to the show’s start time of8:30pm, you may not be able to find seating.

What we do have: amazing comedy, amazing comic books for your purchasing, a concession stand with snacks, soda, and water.

Yup, we are also a TV show on Comedy Central. The first season was filmed in February 2014 and aired that summer. The second season was filmed March of 2015 and aired that summer. You can watch those seasons here, or find out where to purchase them. Yup, it is awesome. Nope, we are not filming tonight. You’d have to fill out paperwork if you were going to be on camera.

The third season of The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail will be filming in 2016! We promise we will let you know when.

When you arrive to the store to attend the show, the first thing you should do is check in with our staff. Our staff will take your money/reservation and stamp your hand with a stamp. We are a first come, first served kind of show. Pay attention to your stamp, as when we open doors, we let people in by calling out that stamp. If you have a question about what is stamped on your hand, ask staff.

Be kind to our staff. Most of them work for free/the glory of comedy.

You must be high fived by Ed Salazar as you come in the door. Them’s the rules.

And you’ve gotta laugh.

Oh, and if you are a comedian who is interested in doing The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, you can email clips to meltdownshow@gmail.com.
